Synthesize vs Compose — When to use?
Synthesize: Automatic & fast. Type a character (e.g., 好), system looks up IDS and generates glyph instantly. Best for existing characters in catalog. Optional IDS override. Shows quality metrics.
Compose: Manual & flexible. Choose structure operator (⿰⿱⿲⿳), fill each component slot, adjust gaps/ratios. Best for custom characters, creative variants, or batch operations. Full control over every detail.
1. Build A Font
Go to Compose, choose a structure, fill components, and click Create Glyph. Set font name, target codepoint, and output format in Export Font.
2. Use Catalog Copy
Open Catalog, click a character tile to move it into synthesis flow, then copy SVG or reuse the character/IDS in Compose slots.
3. Create A Project
Sign in, open Projects, create a new project, then save composed glyphs into it. Use project settings for family name and target format.
4. Export Font

5. Use Synthesize
Go to , enter IDS expressions or guidance, adjust weight, and generate custom glyphs. Preview SVG and export to font format.
